Rose Marion is a freelance editor, copywriter, and in limited circumstances, a graphic designer (preferring print to web design, but fluent in both).

I'm familiar with the following programs, using them on a weekly (if not daily) basis:

I'm comfortable with the Adobe CS3, CS4, and CS5 versions of the above programs. I know HTML/XHTML and CSS, and am learning PHP.

Feel free to browse the graphic design samples below, and view my resume. Please contact me directly for copywriting and editing samples, and I will respond within 48 hours.

I've designed a wide variety of pieces, including mailers, CD brochures, posters, and instruction manuals.

Storm Products Drilling Guide

Drilling Guide Drilling Guide
8 page booklet folded to 5.5" x 8.5", 4 color full bleed

Last fall, Storm Products contacted me to create a fresh layout guide. I worked extensively with the Storm technical staff to record the data and images necessary. I designed and edited the guide, which has now shipped with over 30,000 Storm balls.

This guide is available for download from Storm directly as well this site. Simply go to Storm's Marketing site, StormBowling.com/Marketing, then click on Drill Specs, then click on Lightning Strike PSA™.

Storm Products CD Brochure

CD Brochure
18 x 6" flat, 6 x 6" folded, 4 color full bleed

I designed this hypothetical CD brochure using Storm Products as my model company. The document is designed to be printed duplex on heavy paper with a CD case glued to the inner third panel. This brochure promotes a new ball with diagrams, images, and a list of salesmen to contact if interested.

Friends of the Library InDesign Guide

Letter sized paper trimmed to 7.5 x 10"; 86 pages comb bound, 4 color bleed

Our team of four wrote and designed this guide for the Eastern Washington University Friends of the Library, whose newsletter was just redesigned. The newsletter is now produced in Adobe InDesign CS4, and the Friends needed to know how to update it. This guide, specifically tailored to the Friends, includes tutorials and steps to working with images, layers, and text, as well as preparing for print.

I also designed the EWU Friends of the Library logo in use in this document as an intern with the Friends of the Library.
